Raised in California's Central Valley, Geneva Mello is a third generation Lodi resident. She received her BFA in Studio Art from University of the Pacific in 2007, concentrations in painting, drawing, and photography. She continued her education at California State University, Fresno where she received her MA in Art with honors in 2010. 

​Her paintings and drawings are often inspired by myths, archetypes, dream imagery, and nostalgia.

When not in her home studio, Geneva advocates for the arts and volunteers in her community. She is a Lodi Arts Commissioner, youth services chair for the Lodi Rotary Club, teaching artist with San Joaquin County's Artists in Schools program, and a lead organizer for the Lodi Open Studios Tour. ​

February 2023 – Present: Lodi Open Studios Tour Committee – Lodi, CA
Assist in organizing large artist studio tour event for October 2024 after decade-long hiatus.
23 participating artists with 13 tour stops. Seeking sponsorships, application design, artist workshop co-host, and event planning.

October 2022 - Present: Chair, Lodi Arts Commission – Lodi, CA
Elected Chair in January 2025. Served on subcommittees for Taco Truck Cook Off, mural creation and preservation, honoring women in the arts, etc…
